After the first half FC Steaua Pildesti were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marius Cănănău to strike the kick off in the second half. Antonio Phelipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luca Corcoveanu having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Feliciano Mateo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luca Corcoveanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Liviu Dobrescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andres Ignatius. That made the score 0-3 in the 61 minute of play. After 64 played minutes Belgrano de Pibasog got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Mergildo. In the 66th minute, Belgrano de Pibasog's Raul Bibiano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raul Bibiano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Belgrano de Pibasog protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raul Bibiano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belgrano de Pibasog fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Belgrano de Pibasog's Andres Ignatius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Dobrescu in the 71st minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Osvaldo Montay made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luca Corcoveanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Omar Jakes struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Luca Corcoveanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano de Pibasog. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Montay in the 82nd minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Luca Corcoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Octav Mergea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ignatius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Osvaldo Montay came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Belgrano de Pibasog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Montay couldn't finish the play.
