Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Jean-Paul Latten started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. volibears's Luuk van Rhijn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Ponte in the 3rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Jean-Paul Latten took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Zeferino Igrejas to make any attempt to save it. In the 11th minute, Boudewijn Evans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeferino Igrejas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Paul Latten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luuk van Rhijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Rocha in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Cristiano Ponte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luuk van Rhijn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 30 minutes into the match, Cristiano Ponte notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of volibears's Luuk van Rhijn. Luuk van Rhijn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, volibears's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Pinheiro came free, but Luuk van Rhijn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boudewijn Evans during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, volibears was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudewijn Evans to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Rubim Festas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boudewijn Evans kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of volibears booed when Campus Douro Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubim Festas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Jorna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeferino Igrejas. Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 47 minutes, Juliano Magalhães made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. volibears's Luuk van Rhijn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Campus Douro Academy were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juliano Magalhães to make the kick off. The supporters of Campus Douro Academy booed when volibears was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Joost Boezem didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Juliano Magalhães sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luuk van Rhijn skillfully saved the ball. Luuk van Rhijn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juliano Magalhães went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. volibears's Luuk van Rhijn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Festas in the 60th minute of play. volibears's Luuk van Rhijn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save volibears from getting a goal against them. Luuk van Rhijn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Pinheiro went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Juliano Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Luuk van Rhijn. volibears's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. Jean-Paul Latten's late challenge caught a Campus Douro Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Paul Latten helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Óscar Andrade in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luuk van Rhijn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Pinheiro got free with Luuk van Rhijn in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, volibears's Luuk van Rhijn got control of the ball when Jorge Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 93 played minutes volibears got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Paul Latten. After 94 played minutes Campus Douro Academy got a freekick which was hit by Rubim Festas. After 95 played minutes, volibears's Harald Ridder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeferino Igrejas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in volibears reached it. Campus Douro Academy played a much better game than volibears and deserved their victory. The volibears players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
