Fabricio Bikendi started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Harry Cool got a freekick which was hit by Howie Bostock. Delmiro Arlo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnie Kenack in the 10th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Salvador Incendio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Fabricio Bikendi could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Kirk Hoskin however easily saved by the left post. After 12 minutes, Carlos-Mario Monclús mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA and the Harry Cool players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Carlos-Mario Monclús got a free kick in the 12th minute. Salvador Incendio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryanne Skittrall in the 14th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Arnie Kenack had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salvador Incendio. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnie Kenack was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 35th minute Arnie Kenack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Incendio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Arnie Kenack ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Salvador Incendio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bryanne Skittrall to make the kick off. In the 86th minute, John King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Bikendi in the 88th minute of play forced Harry Cool's goalkeeper Kirk Hoskin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Alejo Ferrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Hoskin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Incendio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Incendio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnie Kenack in the 95th minute of play. The Harry Cool supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Harry Cool would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
