Sydney Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Zerres in the 31st minute of play. Leonid Dersewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sydney Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Zerres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hennes Meisel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Granadero10's Sydney Barros got control of the ball when Frank Zerres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Moritz Lenke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sydney Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Granadero10's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
