In the 36th minute, Wilson Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costică Astafiei hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Costică Astafiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute Durval de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Costescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Villa Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Teles. Adrian Mălaimare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rogério Hoffmann made a huge save. Falcão Esteves hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to Villa Verde FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Fausto Bueno hit a great ball.
