The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Vule Jović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute, Burkhard Niebler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Janjiš hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mustafa Husić kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Nolan Bästlein came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by FISHBONE 06's Stefan Janjiš. But to his dismay, Stefan Janjiš quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Ferhad Hamzić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nolan Bästlein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vule Jović in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of FISHBONE 06 booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Gielchen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Hamburg Fighters's Burkhard Niebler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damijan Rača made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 29 minutes into the match, FISHBONE 06's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Lamp came free, but Damijan Rača reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Miroslav Gleixner had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 34 minutes into the game, Stefan Janjiš was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FISHBONE 06's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamburg Fighters the free kick. Hamburg Fighters made a substitution. Davor Buchwalder replaced Miroslav Gleixner. Walt Schräder struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Damijan Rača didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburg Fighters. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Janjiš stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Ferhad Hamzić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FISHBONE 06's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferhad Hamzić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nolan Bästlein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Janjiš's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 67th minute Ferhad Hamzić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Bästlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Patrick Gielchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hamburg Fighters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FISHBONE 06 the free kick. Patrick Gielchen hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Ferhad Hamzić notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hamburg Fighters's Nolan Bästlein. Nolan Bästlein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Hamburg Fighters defense, Vule Jović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nolan Bästlein. The Hamburg Fighters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nolan Bästlein should have stopped the shot. In the 86th match minute, FISHBONE 06 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vule Jović to maneuver through the defense.
