Levent Popisakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Каблешково's Levent Popisakov got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Tihomir Zhabinski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rusty Little. Tihomir Zhabinski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Santos FC's Rusty Little got control of the ball when Levent Popisakov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Tyron Sheffield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antim Zheynov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rusty Little. Santos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rusty Little made an important save on a dangerous shot by Levent Popisakov in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Каблешково's goal looked a bit too open when Desmond Rowell came free, but Vencho Gazibarov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Каблешково's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Levent Popisakov to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Каблешково getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Milen Zarichinov hit a great ball. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Каблешково was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yosif Bikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Каблешково's Mircho Chakalov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rusty Little narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Rowell in the 70th minute of play forced Каблешково's goalkeeper Vencho Gazibarov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rusty Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levent Popisakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Каблешково's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Woody Napier was slow to take the kick. During this time Santos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Santos FC's Von Arroyo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rusty Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tihomir Zhabinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Rusty Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levent Popisakov in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tihomir Zhabinski in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rusty Little saved Santos FC from getting behind. Rusty Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levent Popisakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Rusty Little stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Levent Popisakov's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Nikifor Vardev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rusty Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
