Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfredo Enekoitz kicked off to start the match. Albino Nofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradly Gray in the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, New England Minas's DeMarcus Sandoval ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albino Nofre. Albino Nofre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Ermengol in the 25th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Miles Newsome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miles Newsome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roland Goldstein hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Nofre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dwayne Clement went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Albino Nofre made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jacques Stovall sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Enekoitz in the 40th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Miles Newsome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Keith Braxton. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacques Stovall got free with Albino Nofre in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Tadeo Nisio fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres's protests and gave Tadeo Nisio a yellow card for diving instead. Tadeo Nisio hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Francisco Odilon lost his temper 50 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 49th minute of the game. One of Talleres:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New England Minas:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dwayne Clement made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Raimundo Barrionuevo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Barrionuevo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miles Newsome breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Talleres defense, DeMarcus Sandoval kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albino Nofre. The Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albino Nofre should have stopped the shot. Lucio Ermengol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Miles Newsome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Talleres's Raimundo Barrionuevo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. In the 76th minute Lucio Ermengol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miles Newsome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albino Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwayne Clement in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th minute, Lucio Ermengol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Jacques Stovall came free, but Albino Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Barrionuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miles Newsome having to interfere. Talleres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
