Manuel Silveira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Radoslaw Frenzel. In the 47th minute, Alfred Kaczynski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Suprs Academia's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Seabra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wojciech Sokolski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 100 minutes, Tobias Seabra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suprs Academia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Seabra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Suprs Academia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Suprs Academia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
