Renato Melo's late challenge caught a Santoryu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato Melo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brazil Academy's Renato Melo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match Anselmo Gabriele shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro Rezende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ciro Punta's late challenge caught a Brazil Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Punta helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro Punta hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José de Sena came free, but Camillo Marcantonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Ricardo Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Bozzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodolfo Souto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camillo Marcantonio. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After 17 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Maranhense. Ciro Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Giorgio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Giorgio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermanno Tagliente during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciro Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Bozzo in the 32nd minute of play. Camillo Marcantonio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José de Sena in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Bozzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Bozzo in the 51st minute. After 55 minutes, Ricardo Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brazil Academy and the Santoryu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo Sousa hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Santoryu FC's Anselmo Gabriele shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ciro Rezende but with some difficulty. 57 minutes into the game, César Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brazil Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santoryu FC the free kick. The supporters of Santoryu FC booed when Brazil Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvise Iacobucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Rezende having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Dario Giorgio got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Ricardo Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Nando Quadros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brazil Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Santoryu FC's Camillo Marcantonio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Quadros in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Souto came free, but Camillo Marcantonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Santoryu FC's Dario Giorgio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciro Rezende. That made the score 2-1 after 87 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Santoryu FC's Ciro Rezende threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvise Iacobucci, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Bozzo in the 93rd minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Ciro Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Eugenio Bozzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brazil Academy had won after a very even match.
