In the 4th minute Xosepin Silvestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Triganza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, ConChanfle FC's Sustrai Madinabeitia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Triganza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ian Triganza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xosepin Silvestre in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ConChanfle FC's Sustrai Madinabeitia got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Edward Ganado hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Gilbert Borda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Senio Ciencabrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sustrai Madinabeitia in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match ConChanfle FC got a corner. Attard Gunners's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sustrai Madinabeitia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ConChanfle FC's Sustrai Madinabeitia to fire away a dangerous shot which Ian Triganza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Attard Gunners's zone, Sustrai Madinabeitia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Triganza came out of the goal and Sustrai Madinabeitia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Lawrence Gerada got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Franco Curmi got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sustrai Madinabeitia in the 37th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Ian Triganza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Triganza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sustrai Madinabeitia in the 43rd minute of the match. The Attard Gunners players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ConChanfle FC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Gilbert Borda made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Che Macias during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ConChanfle FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Che Macias hit a great ball. Christopher Stellini kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sustrai Madinabeitia in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Sustrai Madinabeitia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ian Triganza. Sustrai Madinabeitia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. ConChanfle FC were furious when Simao Zotes was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Sustrai Madinabeitia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Triganza having to make a save. Sustrai Madinabeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xzaiver Saribiarte charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xzaiver Saribiarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes ConChanfle FC got a freekick which was hit by Xzaiver Saribiarte. Senio Ciencabrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Borda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Triganza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sustrai Madinabeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 84 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Sean Bailey. In the 87th minute, Che Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafel Franquis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Triganza having to interfere. With a little luck, Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza got control of the ball when Che Macias tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ConChanfle FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ConChanfle FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
