Thanos Nestorakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Lia Saez made a huge save. Sheriff's Takis Lazakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Valdés in the 9th minute of play. Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Los romperredes F.C from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Zuri Mondejar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Takis Lazakis. Sheriff's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zuri Mondejar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Lia Saez made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Thanos Nestorakos sent off a good shot on target. Sheriff were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Los romperredes F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Panos Zervidis took the corner. Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Los romperredes F.C from getting a goal against them. Lia Saez made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Omiros Prikourakis sent off a good shot on target. Grigoris Kasnakidis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Lia Saez 25 minutes into the match. Lia Saez made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Thanos Nestorakos sent off a good shot on target. Lia Saez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefanos Vrettos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Omiros Prikourakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheriff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omiros Prikourakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Grigoris Kasnakidis made the kick off in the second half. Lia Saez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Nestorakos in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Grigoris Kasnakidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fagondo Sampil kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Panos Zervidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lia Saez. Los romperredes F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 59th minute, Grigoris Kasnakidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lia Saez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. If Grigoris Kasnakidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sheriff booed when Los romperredes F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urko Cardeñosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antxoka Bastida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Lazakis having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goal looked a bit too open when Zuri Mondejar came free, but Takis Lazakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lia Saez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omiros Prikourakis in the 72nd minute of the match. Stefanos Vrettos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Lia Saez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheriff. Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Nestorakos in the 79th minute of play. If Stefanos Vrettos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Antxoka Bastida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los romperredes F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheriff the free kick. After 86 played minutes Los romperredes F.C got a freekick which was hit by Antxoka Bastida. In the 92nd minute, Antxoka Bastida reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Takis Lazakis. The goal made the score 4-2. Los romperredes F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
