Expreso del oeste's Jonatan Lizer got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angua FC's Leo Rosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Cordara in the 6th minute of play. After 7 minutes, Vicente Emesto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angua FC and the Expreso del oeste players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vicente Emesto hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Francisco Javiar charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Javiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Expreso del oeste getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Francisco Javiar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Bernaldo in the 28th minute of play forced Expreso del oeste's goalkeeper Erubiel Muno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angua FC's Leo Rosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Karmel in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Angua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Beat to maneuver through the defense. Leo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Lizer in the 37th minute of play. Expreso del oeste's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lisandro Errando in the 38th minute. Erubiel Muno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Karmel's late challenge caught a Angua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Karmel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Expreso del oeste getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Silvano Karmel hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Esiquio in the 45th minute of play forced Expreso del oeste's goalkeeper Erubiel Muno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Angua FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Expreso del oeste were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Cordara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Angua FC's zone, Silvano Karmel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Rosio came out of the goal and Silvano Karmel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 56th play minutes Alberto Cordara shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Leo Rosio and just under the crossbar into goal. When Francisco Javiar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. Francisco Javiar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Esiquio in the 72nd minute of play forced Expreso del oeste's goalkeeper Erubiel Muno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eduardo Blasco fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angua FC's protests and gave Eduardo Blasco a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Adrian Nayely managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Nayely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Ivan Esiquio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Erubiel Muno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Ciro Dolfos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Esiquio took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erubiel Muno. Erubiel Muno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 91st match minute, Expreso del oeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Cordara to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Ivan Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Muno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Expreso del oeste supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Expreso del oeste would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
