Spectators: 7757 (Terracing: 5820, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) After 3 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Gică Condeescu. Emanuel Şimoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexis Dellios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avraam Chalkias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Emanuel Şimoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Dimitris Koudas made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. YKE's Emanuel Şimoc tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marin Zbuchea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Takis Nestoriou made a huge save. A collision led to Olympiacos FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Grigoris Plexioudas hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avraam Chalkias in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Şimoc saved F.C. YKE from getting behind. Constantin Buzea hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Ernest Ignea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markos Kareklopoulos hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Olympiacos FC's zone, Lucrețiu Culiță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Takis Nestoriou came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Culiță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucrețiu Culiță kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Takis Nestoriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Culiță in the 41st minute of play. The corner led F.C. YKE's Olimpiu Oloieru to fire away a dangerous shot which Takis Nestoriou despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alexis Dellios hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Olympiacos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Olimpiu Oloieru made the kick off in the second half. Ernest Ignea charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernest Ignea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Ernest Ignea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Panos Papathomas came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Papathomas couldn't finish the play. Olympiacos FC's Panos Loukas was substituted for Lazaros Tsakrilis. Olympiacos FC's Kostas Tziolas was substituted for Alexis Dellios. When Dimitris Koudas came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitris Koudas couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Kostas Tziolas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Avraam Chalkias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Şimoc having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikiforos Valaoras. In the 75th minute Lucrețiu Culiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takis Nestoriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Ignea came free, but Takis Nestoriou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Şimoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Koudas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Olympiacos FC's Takis Nestoriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Oloieru in the 89th minute of play. The Olympiacos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olympiacos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
