Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leo Bailey started the match with the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 2 minutes, John Balzan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Anton Hult showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Bailey in the 14th minute of the match. Anton Hult showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jake Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Eric Kihlman hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes Doffes Damer got a freekick which was hit by Orvar Elg. Doffes Damer's Anton Hult played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Bailey in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orvar Elg during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 played minutes Doffes Damer got a freekick which was hit by Orvar Elg. In the 35th minute, Bengt-Åke Kleen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Balzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vilgot Valström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Robert Pullicino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sliema Dragons FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doffes Damer the free kick. Robert Pullicino kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Anton Hult showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Depasquale, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Samuel Galdes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kevin Håkansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Doffes Damer's Anton Hult proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Doffes Damer from getting a goal against them. If Leo Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sliema Dragons FC's Samuel Galdes got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Bailey got free with Anton Hult in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Doffes Damer's Adam Rosin got a free kick in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Håkansson came free, but John Balzan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Bailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Hult having to interfere. Samuel Galdes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 played minutes Doffes Damer got a freekick which was hit by Richard Dahlberg. Samuel Galdes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anton Hult. Doffes Damer's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Navarro in the 80th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Anton Hult to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Hult made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Leo Bailey sent off a good shot on target. Anton Hult made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Bailey in the 85th minute. Sliema Dragons FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
