In the 12th match minute, The Nerd Herd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eilif Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes of play, The Nerd Herd's Dan Høines made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Mino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cornelio Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Høines in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ludvik Nordskog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnstein Øvereng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Desiderio Handi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 30 minute of play. Cornelio Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Høines, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The Nerd Herd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Desiderio Handi scored to the left of an out of position Arnstein Øvereng, making the score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Høines in the 45th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Cornelio Mino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, The Nerd Herd's Vebjørn Dyb got a free kick in the 67th minute. Virgilio Monico struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Arnstein Øvereng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águilas Poblanas. After having played for 70 minutes, Dan Høines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Nerd Herd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Høines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Dan Høines left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Nerd Herd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Dan Høines succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-3 in the 82nd playminute. Jonatan Cordaro made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leandro Rio immediately put the ball in play. 90 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Eder came free, but Arnstein Øvereng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Virgilio Monico got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Águilas Poblanas's Cornelio Mino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Águilas Poblanas from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the game, Eilif Sandberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Nerd Herd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Águilas Poblanas the free kick. After 96 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Eilif Sandberg. Águilas Poblanas were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
