Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Desiderio Handi got the match started through his kick off. Zeledon Matthew blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnstein Øvereng having to make a save. Cayetano Remir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the game, Vebjørn Dyb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Nerd Herd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Águilas Poblanas the free kick. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when The Nerd Herd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vebjørn Dyb didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dan Høines managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Nerd Herd's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Høines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Mino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moises Nisio charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Nisio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Moises Nisio. Dan Høines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cornelio Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Desiderio Handi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnstein Øvereng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Dan Høines took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cornelio Mino to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th minute, Vebjørn Dyb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Nisio made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leandro Rio immediately put the ball in play. Cayetano Remir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Arnstein Øvereng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When Desiderio Handi came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Águilas Poblanas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Handi couldn't finish the play. Desiderio Handi in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnstein Øvereng, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arnstein Øvereng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Remir, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The Nerd Herd's Glenn Skjønhaug quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moises Nisio, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Remir in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnstein Øvereng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in The Nerd Herd's zone, Desiderio Handi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnstein Øvereng came out of the goal and Desiderio Handi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Águilas Poblanas's Virgilio Guerau was substituted for Zeledon Matthew. The Nerd Herd's Dan Høines got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dan Høines struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Cornelio Mino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Nerd Herd. 88 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Høines came free, but Cornelio Mino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Høines, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
