When David Pieta fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Bad Harzburg's protests and gave David Pieta a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Straube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SV Bad Harzburg's Manuel Straube got control of the ball when Miguel Hartz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 28 played minutes los nadies got a freekick which was hit by Siro Roldan. SV Bad Harzburg's Manuel Straube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Duarte in the 31st minute of play. SV Bad Harzburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Eder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Tamm to make the kick off. If Miguel Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Hartz took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Straube. The goalkeeper, Ruben Cordarin, was totally fooled by SV Bad Harzburg's Klaus Vielhaus, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of los nadies booed when SV Bad Harzburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Schrappe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Eder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Straube having to interfere. Eugen Boedefeld kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Ciro Eder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Straube came out of the goal and Ciro Eder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Vielhaus to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Cordarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Rüsing, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for los nadies.
