The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xorxe Soldado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Sabóia in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Moraes came free, but Xorxe Soldado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuseppe Moraes got free with Xorxe Soldado in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 61st minute, Vila Mascote FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Javier Solera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Xorxe Soldado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Vergílio in the 69th minute of the match.
