Virgil Meleșcanu took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rostislav Fillipov. Rostislav Fillipov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 16th match minute, Arsenal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Byshovets to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Sergey Azbukin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Ghionescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgil Meleșcanu scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rostislav Fillipov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute, Gennadiy Blinov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeriy Gribin kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Rostislav Fillipov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Dăscălescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Arsenal F.C.'s Gennadiy Blinov got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Meleșcanu in the 37th minute of play forced Arsenal F.C.'s goalkeeper Rostislav Fillipov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Valar's Francisc Ghionescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save The Valar from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Dăscălescu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valeriy Gribin during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Dăscălescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Pompiliu Bugariu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rostislav Fillipov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as The Valar's Virgil Meleșcanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rostislav Fillipov. That made the score 0-3 after 64 minutes of play. The Valar's Francisc Ghionescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergey Azbukin in the 74th minute of play. Emil Hortopan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, one of The Valar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Valar. Rostislav Fillipov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgil Meleșcanu in the 81st minute. With an all-out effort, The Valar's Rostislav Fillipov threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damian Dăscălescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rostislav Fillipov made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Virgil Meleșcanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st match minute, Arsenal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Byshovets to maneuver through the defense. Damian Dăscălescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rostislav Fillipov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Florianov in the 94th minute of play forced The Valar's goalkeeper Francisc Ghionescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rostislav Fillipov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Dăscălescu's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Valar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
