Damian Kolacki was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of 2kC Poznań:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Åsnes:s goal. After 5 minutes 2kC Poznań's goalkeeper Izydor Pilipiec managed, with a little bit of luck, save Arnt Honningsvåg's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 5th minute, Arnt Honningsvåg made a precise shot to the right of Izydor Pilipiec. 2kC Poznań's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Sebastian Sienkowski hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Budzyn came free, but Christer Waaler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Benjamin Løge hit a great ball. When Aureliusz Rybak came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the 2kC Poznań fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliusz Rybak couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute Milosz Podowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arnt Honningsvåg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th match minute, 2kC Poznań was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Budzyn to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Sienkowski in the 36th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The 2kC Poznań fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when 2kC Poznań's Milosz Budzyn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, 2kC Poznań's Milosz Budzyn got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 2kC Poznań's Izydor Pilipiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Hestad in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Milosz Podowski made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Åsnes booed when 2kC Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milosz Podowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izydor Pilipiec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morten Hestad in the 51st minute of play. Izydor Pilipiec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Hestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milosz Podowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Christer Waaler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2kC Poznań made a substitution. Michal Latocha replaced Aureliusz Rybak. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Chlapowski in the 67th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, 2kC Poznań's Sebastian Sienkowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Waaler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Åsnes's Morten Hestad got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 minutes of play, Åsnes's Morten Hestad made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Izydor Pilipiec was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sebastian Sienkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stasio Chlapowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Waaler having to interfere. Zbyszko Olender could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Christer Waaler made a huge save. In the 91st match minute, 2kC Poznań was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Budzyn to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 93 minutes, Petter Vartdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petter Vartdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Åsnes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of 2kC Poznań for a fine match.
