Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráusio Santos to make the kick off. After taking down the ball on Sport Club Mavericks's corner Hílton Cruz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jens-Ove Åkesson quite easily take care of the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Hílton Cruz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jens-Ove Åkesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Alebeck to maneuver through the defense. Nilton Leite hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Per-Arne Ekerot might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Cean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Arne Ekerot ran back to his position shaking his head. Tobias Rolandsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Ove Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sport Club Mavericks had won after a very even match.
