The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Red Reign was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calisto Lape to maneuver through the defense. Erasmo Oskarbi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garcia Cerrabe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Walme in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Cordeiro came free, but Garcia Cerrabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Gener succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Xantalen Valencia's late challenge caught a Howling Dawn U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xantalen Valencia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Red Reign's Xantalen Valencia got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Bohórquez Erauzquin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Reign's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bohórquez Erauzquin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Red Reign's Moreta Somonte got a free kick in the 29th minute. Erasmo Oskarbi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Garcia Cerrabe. Red Reign's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 31 minutes, Juan Bittor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Howling Dawn U18 and the Red Reign players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Juan Bittor got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 37th minute, Juan Bittor made a precise shot to the right of Garcia Cerrabe. Red Reign's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Arturo Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garcia Cerrabe was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. German Vedeja was the one to do the kick off. Leon Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moreta Somonte in the 51st minute of play. Baltasar Walme kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Erasmo Oskarbi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Xantalen Valencia, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 67th minute Moreta Somonte suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 67 minutes, Venancio Dantae mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Howling Dawn U18 and the Red Reign players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Howling Dawn U18 getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Venancio Dantae hit a great ball. Leon Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Vedeja, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Bittor in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garcia Cerrabe saved Red Reign from getting behind. With a little luck, Red Reign's Garcia Cerrabe got control of the ball when Juan Bittor tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Severino Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Howling Dawn U18's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Reign the free kick. Leon Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xantalen Valencia in the 87th minute of play. Leon Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Gener, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Juan Bittor might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garcia Cerrabe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Bittor ran back to his position shaking his head. The Red Reign supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Howling Dawn U18's performance. The match ended with a win for Howling Dawn U18.
