Gandolfo Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Gorges in the 22nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Otto-Stephan Keck sped through F.C Un dia de partit's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gandolfo Sánchez. Gandolfo Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto-Stephan Keck in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto-Stephan Keck in the 48th minute of play forced F.C Un dia de partit's goalkeeper Gandolfo Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Hertha 1969 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Otto-Stephan Keck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gandolfo Sánchez was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hertha 1969 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
