Reynaldo Bembe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcu Ciungu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Marcu Ciungu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Abascal in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Mapovihesa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Turceanu came free, but Genaro Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Severiano Herena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcu Ciungu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eugenio Francho. After a defensive mix-up in Mapovihesa FC's zone, Virgil Turceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Osoro came out of the goal and Virgil Turceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Osoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liviu Buceceanu went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute, Aurelio Shepherd reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcu Ciungu. The goal made the score 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Liviu Buceceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Osoro. Mapovihesa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liviu Buceceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Matteo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcu Ciungu saved Ares FC -MM- from getting behind. After some careless play in the Ares FC -MM- defense, Severiano Herena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcu Ciungu. The Ares FC -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcu Ciungu should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Liviu Buceceanu during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Liviu Buceceanu got a free kick in the 69th minute.
