The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Purje got free with Gunnar Jakobsson in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Panait Vochin got a free kick in the 38th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Pelle Rudqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Horaţiu Nițoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Xentrias were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Taşcu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panait Vochin couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Liviu Răuţă in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
