Eurico Palmeira hit a great ball. Evaristo Siqueira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luís Barroso. After 13 played minutes Floripa Lions FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Paranaense. The long shot by Valentim Castilho in the 14th minute really tested Evaristo Siqueira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Caetano Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caetano Terra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Sordo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Eureka fully deserved thier win.
