In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasco FC's goalkeeper Franklin Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roque Dorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alim Akkaya in the 14th minute of the match. When Carlos Fernando Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasco FC's protests and gave Carlos Fernando Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Carlos Fernando Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco FC's Franklin Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Montel in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Marcelino Arano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachilo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Arano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franklin Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, Cachilo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alim Akkaya came free, but Roque Dorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Alim Akkaya made a precise shot to the right of Roque Dorio. Cachilo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Arano in the 55th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Franklin Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Marcelino Arano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Franklin Bittencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, Esteban Montel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Marcelino Arano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cachilo FC were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Vasco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clodoveo Sayvion took the corner. The corner led Cachilo FC's Clodoveo Sayvion to fire away a dangerous shot which Franklin Bittencourt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Cachilo FC's Ciriaco Sol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin Bittencourt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Esteban Montel hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vasco FC booed when Cachilo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Montel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Lizardi struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Franklin Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachilo FC. After a rather tough play, Cachilo FC's Haroldo Mancio got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th match minute, Cachilo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Criston to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cachilo FC's Roque Dorio got control of the ball when Virgílio Custódio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guilherme Heidemann hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Donato Lizardi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cachilo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Lizardi couldn't finish the play. Chants of Vasco FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cachilo FC had held the ball for most of the match.
