In the 21st match minute, ELMUÑE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Ondino to maneuver through the defense. Jean Van Damme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 27th minute, Silverio Ongile ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean Van Damme was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zosimo Vadillo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Silvio Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Modestio in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Modestio in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Nalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Leonides Modestio put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Silvio Nalo. ELMUÑE's Silvio Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Modestio in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Birila was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Matias Artal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, ELMUÑE's Silvio Nalo got control of the ball when Leonides Modestio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvio Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Birila in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Eliseo Gaufred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Van Damme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ELMUÑE's Nestor Min was substituted for Gualterio Gotzon. Papillon AC's Emiliano Nardo was substituted for Freddy Fagondo. The supporters of Papillon AC booed when ELMUÑE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Van Damme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Azubeli in the 69th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Eliseo Gaufred sped through Papillon AC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean Van Damme. 74 minutes into the game, Papillon AC's Zosimo Vadillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvio Nalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Papillon AC's Sergio Jerano was substituted for Leonides Modestio. After a rather tough play, ELMUÑE's Marcial Louis got a free kick in the 80th minute. Jean Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Chago in the 82nd minute of play. The ELMUÑE fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when ELMUÑE's Eliseo Gaufred looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eliseo Gaufred's late challenge caught a Papillon AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Gaufred helped the player get up and apologised. Zosimo Vadillo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Papillon AC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alvaro Azubeli struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jean Van Damme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ELMUÑE. Jean Van Damme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Azubeli in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Sergio Jerano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Nalo. ELMUÑE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Jerano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustavo Birila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvio Nalo. That made the score 3-5 in the 95 minute of play. The ELMUÑE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Papillon AC's performance. The match ended with a win for Papillon AC.
