In the 18th match minute, Austra VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Dalman to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's goalkeeper Amos Colagrossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wellington Pires took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amos Colagrossi. Amos Colagrossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hudson Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Scevola in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Venceslao in the 28th minute of play forced Austra VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Dumitru Praporgescu in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Austra VFC's César Madureira. Hudson Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Manni in the 35th minute. Amos Colagrossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Hudson Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Venceslao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute of the game Damiano Berardini made a throw-in which Dumitru Praporgescu played forward. 48 minutes into the match, Austra VFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Scevola came free, but Hudson Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Austra VFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferruccio Scevola was the one to do the kick off. Hudson Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Manni went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 55 minutes into the match, Ferruccio Scevola notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Austra VFC's Hudson Gaúcho. Hudson Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 57 played minutes Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Guerra. When Maxim Vasilitã came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Austra VFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxim Vasilitã couldn't finish the play. After 60 played minutes Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio got a freekick which was hit by Benoit Van hoegaerde. In the 62nd minute, Amador Baladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A long shot from Maxim Vasilitã in the 63rd minute of play was well struck, but Amos Colagrossi made a really good save at the right post. In the 65th minute Ivar Dalman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Colagrossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's Amos Colagrossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Dalman in the 65th minute of play. Melchor Lopez took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hudson Gaúcho. Marcus Pollard replaced Leandro Vianna. The supporters of Austra VFC booed when Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hudson Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
