Michel Lundberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Lastur made a huge save. Örjan Johansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leopoldo Lastur having to make a save. Örjan Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Lastur having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Lando in the 28th minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Örjan Johansson could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Leopoldo Lastur however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Lundberg in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Lastur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Jaime Mundo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mike Cassar Torreggiani. In the 40th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Cresconio to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Johansson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Örjan Johansson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Blåvitt's Michel Lundberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Lastur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gösta Lundberg during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Blåvitt getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gösta Lundberg hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Leones FC defense, Gösta Lundberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. The Leones FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Lastur should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Lundberg in the 64th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blåvitt's Michel Lundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Blåvitt's Gösta Lundberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Lastur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miguel Lando struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Mike Cassar Torreggiani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Lundberg in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Lastur saved Leones FC from getting behind. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Blåvitt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Helander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blåvitt's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Miguel Lando scored to the left of an out of position Mike Cassar Torreggiani, making the score, 7-2.
