Rudy Gummow blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavius Ferenț having to make a save. 10 minutes into the match, Rasnita's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Gummow came free, but Flavius Ferenț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Toacsen in the 12th minute of play forced Melbourne 007's goalkeeper Broderick Ceney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavius Ferenț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudy Gummow's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Melbourne 007's Broderick Ceney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Melbourne 007 from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Toacsen in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Broderick Ceney saved Melbourne 007 from getting behind. Sebastian Toacsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Broderick Ceney having to interfere. Broderick Ceney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Apăvăloaie in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Rasnita got a corner. Melbourne 007's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horaţiu Chelbea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rasnita's Horaţiu Chelbea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Broderick Ceney in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Rudy Gummow came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Melbourne 007 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Gummow couldn't finish the play. Flavius Ferenț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Gummow in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rudy Gummow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbourne 007's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudy Gummow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavius Ferenț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Sebastian Toacsen made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Alex Cunea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Broderick Ceney. Melbourne 007's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Cunea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Broderick Ceney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Apăvăloaie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Broderick Ceney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Toacsen in the 64th minute of play. When Rasnita's Alex Cunea in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melbourne 007's goalie prevented a goal. Melbourne 007's Broderick Ceney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Toacsen in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rasnita's Gigel Uncheşu got a free kick in the 75th minute. Broderick Ceney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Toacsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Broderick Ceney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Toacsen in the 80th minute of the match. Dani Warren hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sebastian Toacsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Broderick Ceney having to interfere. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Valer Fecioru hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Sebastian Toacsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Ceney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Melbourne 007 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dante King hit a great ball. Melbourne 007's Broderick Ceney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Toacsen in the 95th minute of play. Rasnita were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Melbourne 007 for a fine match.
