Sylwester Wawro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Christian Burgo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Boruc Perkowski. Sylwester Wawro came out of the goal and Eugeniusz Olchowy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Burgo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boruc Perkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wertian S Salvinorins's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
