Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 150) An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Messias in the 6th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Jung 1972's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Tande came free, but Cristian Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Steevy Ciobica fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 17th match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Gröhe came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Jung 1972's Murilo Messias. But to his dismay, Murilo Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Independente FC booed when Jung 1972 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Tande. Cristian Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Independente FC's Fernando Lucas in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jung 1972's goalie prevented a goal. Marcelo Gröhe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luiz Paulo de Sousa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. Nilson Duarte was slow to take the kick. During this time Independente FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Independente FC's Nilson Duarte to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristian Gomes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Tande during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Adriano Tande hit a great ball. Marcelo Gröhe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo de Sousa in the 38th minute. Cristian Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Duarte in the 42nd minute of the match. Fernando Lucas struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cristian Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independente FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Independente FC's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Messias in the 59th minute of play. Jung 1972 were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Independente FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Murilo Messias took the corner. In the 63rd minute, Sérgio Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jung 1972 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 68 minutes into the match, Independente FC's Adriano Tande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Marcelo Gröhe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Senon Abravanel kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Marcelo Gröhe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With an all-out effort, Independente FC's Cristian Gomes threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nilson Duarte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Independente FC's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Nogueira in the 94th minute of play. Jung 1972 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Independente FC for a fine match.
