The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andrei Stroie charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Přemek Ouředník was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carl Di Canio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Přemek Ouředník tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SteffosPojkar FF's Hubert Ahlfors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítek Bittner in the 17th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Pardubice Hurricanes got a freekick which was hit by Emil Chesaru. In the 22nd minute, Vítek Bittner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pardubice Hurricanes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Pardubice Hurricanes's Přemek Ouředník got control of the ball when Jonatan Andreasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pardubice Hurricanes getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Otta Čejka hit a great ball. Přemek Ouředník made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jonatan Andreasson sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Erik Lund took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Přemek Ouředník to make any attempt to save it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Lund to make the kick off. If Erik Lund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Přemek Ouředník took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Lund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SteffosPojkar FF's Hubert Ahlfors proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save SteffosPojkar FF from getting a goal against them. Erik Lund's late challenge caught a Pardubice Hurricanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Lund helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SteffosPojkar FF's Erik Lund got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 69th match minute, Pardubice Hurricanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítek Bittner to maneuver through the defense. SteffosPojkar FF's Krister Västberg was substituted for Carl Di Canio. The supporters of SteffosPojkar FF booed when Pardubice Hurricanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítek Bittner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hubert Ahlfors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Rubáš, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Přemek Ouředník made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximilian Seemayer in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Anton Rubáš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Ahlfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Ahlfors was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anton Rubáš showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 77 minute of play. Pardubice Hurricanes's Tomáš Horejš was substituted for Vítek Bittner. SteffosPojkar FF made a substitution. Mats Kristiansson replaced Håkan Apelkvist.
