Santa Fe's Romulo Lalla got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Guto Kleber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guto Kleber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute Guto Kleber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Sanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rony Rüşti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silverio Sanson having to make a save. When Roque Roso came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Santa Fe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Roso couldn't finish the play. Roque Roso came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leandro Custódio could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rony Rüşti in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silverio Sanson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Lalla came free, but Leandro Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silverio Sanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Leandro Custódio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Roso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Kleber in the 38th minute of play forced Santa Fe's goalkeeper Silverio Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Leandro Custódio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Fernando Pratto. If Roque Roso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Seco hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Silverio Sanson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiano Barreto's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Madaleno. After 56 minutes of play, Santa Fe's Roque Roso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Custódio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristóvão Heidemann's late challenge caught a Santa Fe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Heidemann helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Heidemann. If Rony Rüşti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leandro Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Lalla in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes Leões do Sul 53's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Fernando Pratto who took care of the corner kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leões do Sul 53 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Leões do Sul 53:s Leandro Custódio showed great skill when he stopped Juan Fernando Pratto:s penalty. Cristóvão Heidemann hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Roque Roso scored 2-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Custódio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Christiano Barreto got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Romulo Lalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match Santa Fe got a corner. Leões do Sul 53's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juan Fernando Pratto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Santa Fe's Juan Fernando Pratto to fire away a dangerous shot which Leandro Custódio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Christiano Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silverio Sanson. Santa Fe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christiano Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 97th minute, Juan Fernando Pratto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leandro Custódio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Santa Fe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
