In the 10th minute, Joaquim Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leões do Sul 53 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Valdemar Kuoppala had several of the Leões do Sul 53's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Rubinho Couto as he didn't even see the shot coming. Manchester United FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 18th minute. After 26 minutes of play, Leões do Sul 53's Cauan Negri made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin van der Sar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Taisto Pentsinen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rubinho Couto. That made the score 3-2 in the 31 minute of play. In the 34th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Taisto Pentsinen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leões do Sul 53's Rubinho Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Taisto Pentsinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubinho Couto was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Taisto Pentsinen didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-2 via right post in the game's 37th minute. Manchester United FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Rubinho Couto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdemar Kuoppala showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Pernambucano was the one to do the kick off. Jeremias Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Taisto Pentsinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubinho Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taisto Pentsinen's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Rubinho Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 62nd minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Leões do Sul 53's goalie and right to Davide Beckham. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Leões do Sul 53's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Leões do Sul 53's Rubinho Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 65th minute of play. Rubinho Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taisto Pentsinen's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdemar Kuoppala in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubinho Couto saved Leões do Sul 53 from getting behind. Valdemar Kuoppala got in the 70th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Rubinho Couto handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Valdemar Kuoppala put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rubinho Couto. 72 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Taisto Pentsinen came free, but Rubinho Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taisto Pentsinen struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Rubinho Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto da Costa in the 81st minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taisto Pentsinen struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Rubinho Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. If Zé Augusto da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taisto Pentsinen scored 8-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubinho Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Manchester United FC fully deserved thier win.
