The supporters of Esporte Clube Zeus booed when Nova Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenaido Aramoyana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Olea hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Frederico Massa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurilio Duque. Nova Soccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frederico Massa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Maurilio Duque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nova Soccer getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Donat Collier hit a great ball. Eurico Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Maurilio Duque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donat Collier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aleksandr Mirkovich having to make a save. Aleksandr Mirkovich was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusko Zubicoeta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. Piero Quispe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eusko Zubicoeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Esporte Clube Zeus's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Piero Quispe fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aleksandr Mirkovich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piero Quispe in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Massa was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Rafinha Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aleksandr Mirkovich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusko Zubicoeta in the 53rd minute of the match. Nova Soccer's Maurilio Duque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Soccer from getting a goal against them. Piero Quispe took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aleksandr Mirkovich. Aleksandr Mirkovich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 64 played minutes Nova Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Marco Olea. Piero Quispe struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Aleksandr Mirkovich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Soccer. Eurico Cardozo scored 3-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurilio Duque, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Piero Quispe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Cardozo charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eurico Cardozo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, Esporte Clube Zeus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. After 77 minutes of play, Nova Soccer's Eusko Zubicoeta made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aleksandr Mirkovich was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Nova Soccer's zone, Agostinho Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurilio Duque came out of the goal and Agostinho Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurilio Duque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Tróia in the 83rd minute of play forced Nova Soccer's goalkeeper Maurilio Duque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Nova Soccer defense, Agostinho Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurilio Duque. The Nova Soccer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurilio Duque should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Esporte Clube Zeus booed when Nova Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Galban didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agostinho Rosado got free with Maurilio Duque in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the game, Esporte Clube Zeus's Eurico Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurilio Duque made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. Maurilio Duque made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Agostinho Rosado sent off a good shot on target. The Nova Soccer players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
