The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mattias Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Rabanera in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Alvarez in the 12th minute of play forced Los Frogos's goalkeeper Mattias Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Agustín Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Oscar Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Ekblom in the 22nd minute of play. Mattias Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Rabanera in the 23rd minute of the match. Oscar Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Ekblom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Cruz Rabanera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mattias Jansson. Los Frogos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cruz Rabanera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mattias Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Alvarez in the 33rd minute of play. Oscar Ferro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christoffer Mårtensson's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Alvarez in the 35th minute of play forced Los Frogos's goalkeeper Mattias Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of PEÑAROL PIPERO booed when Los Frogos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Broberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

PEÑAROL PIPERO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martinez Somellero in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEÑAROL PIPERO's goalkeeper Oscar Ferro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very nice done corner allowed Rogelio Cosca to score against Mattias Jansson in Los Frogos's goal. 0-4 after 85 minutes. After 88 played minutes PEÑAROL PIPERO got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Cosca. Oscar Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haldun Bilen in the 90th minute of play. Rogelio Cosca hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Ekblom during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. PEÑAROL PIPERO's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
