An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Rush in the 27th minute of play forced Malteria Hudson FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Malteria Hudson FC's Jarrett Rosenberg threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Humberto Gonsalvo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Harvey Flynn's late challenge caught a Malteria Hudson FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harvey Flynn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Harvey Flynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosmos Soccer Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
