Silver Play 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laerte Favoretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 10 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Lazcano Mendez. Pedro Pomelov hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Jakes Vila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Lucila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 18 minutes into the game, one of ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience was convinced that Jakes Vila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Lucila was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakes Vila in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Lucila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Jakes Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Lucila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakes Vila in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Lucila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomás Lucila was a little too slow when Jakes Vila got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 4-0. Remigio Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Francesco in the 37th minute of the match. When Jakes Vila came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakes Vila couldn't finish the play. Remigio Valerón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Francesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Laerte Favoretto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Silver Play 2 the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Petar Hubchev sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remigio Valerón skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jakes Vila to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jakes Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Lucila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Remigio Valerón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Pomelov. Remigio Valerón was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Didi Banana. Remigio Valerón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Dubardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Guido Escobar was substituted for Jakes Vila. 68 minutes into the game, Petar Hubchev threw the ball into play from the sideline. With a little luck, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón got control of the ball when Pedro Pomelov tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 87 minutes, Guido Escobar made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Silver Play 2's Tomás Lucila tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Silver Play 2's Tomás Lucila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Rapado in the 96th minute of play. Silver Play 2's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
