Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Fülep, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in O rey Iván's zone, Chico de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Barea came out of the goal and Chico de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duda Amorim took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aristides Barea. Aristides Barea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mihály Fülep's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. O rey Iván were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Jovens Democratas MZC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Fliz took the corner. Augusto Fliz made a great header on O rey Iván's corner, it was just that Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Guerra in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristides Barea saved O rey Iván from getting behind. O rey Iván's Aristides Barea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save O rey Iván from getting a goal against them. Ruy de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Barea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico de Sousa in the 29th minute of play. When Ruy de Brito came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Jovens Democratas MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruy de Brito couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Duda Amorim got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Dominik Szoboszlai got a free kick in the 34th minute. Dalmo Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihály Fülep went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Aristides Barea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elano Loureiro in the 39th minute. The Jovens Democratas MZC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. O rey Iván were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chico de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. O rey Iván's Aristides Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico de Sousa in the 51st minute of play. Leonardo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Aristides Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Mihály Fülep left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O rey Iván fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. O rey Iván's Alejandro Ponciano was substituted for Modesto Garcia. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Lizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's Ivan Lizar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Lizar in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dalmo Saldanha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Augusto Fliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Dalmo Saldanha made a huge save. Ivan Lizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. O rey Iván's Aristides Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Guerra in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
