In the 4th minute Mikael Siltavirta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmytro Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Witlatschil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yosif Bakrachev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Slava Ukraini's Dmytro Novak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Slava Ukraini from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thilo Heß in the 10th minute of play forced Slava Ukraini's goalkeeper Dmytro Novak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Tiger's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Niculae came free, but Josef Witlatschil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dmytro Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match, Iwo Sawicki tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dmytro Novak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pentti Ojala got free with Dmytro Novak in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Tiger's Pentti Ojala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dmytro Novak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Slava Ukraini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yosif Bakrachev to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Thilo Heß took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dmytro Novak to make any attempt to save it. In the 34th minute Tiger were awarded a corner. Fatih Schwemer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Tiger's corner Christo Bothenhain fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dmytro Novak quite easily take care of the ball. Dmytro Novak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thilo Heß, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Amauri da Costa lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Pentti Ojala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dmytro Novak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dmytro Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thilo Heß in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Marius Niculae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slava Ukraini's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiger the free kick. A collision led to Slava Ukraini getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Marius Niculae hit a great ball. Slava Ukraini's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Iwo Sawicki 49 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marius Niculae to strike the kick off in the second half. Özgür Üstüner hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Christo Bothenhain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmytro Novak having to interfere. Dmytro Novak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaizka Mendieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Pentti Ojala ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dmytro Novak was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Slava Ukraini's Rodion Orel was substituted for Stepan Tovkatskiy. Dmytro Novak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pentti Ojala went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Tiger's Américo Baehr was substituted for Fatih Schwemer. In the 71st minute Tiger were awarded a corner. Américo Baehr went to the cornerflag to take it. Tiger's Gaizka Mendieta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dmytro Novak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 74 minutes into the game, Pentti Ojala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Dmytro Novak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dmytro Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pentti Ojala in the 78th minute of play. Josef Witlatschil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Üstüner in the 79th minute of play. Dmytro Novak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 81st minute of the match. Gaizka Mendieta scored 7-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dmytro Novak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Slava Ukraini's Fulvio Frasca was substituted for Taras Vonsyk. Pentti Ojala took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dmytro Novak. Dmytro Novak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 97 minutes into the match, Slava Ukraini's goal looked a bit too open when Michail Bakunin came free, but Dmytro Novak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
