Markku Ruhanen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gunnar Dyrstad's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Marius Kleven took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markku Ruhanen. Markku Ruhanen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Kleven got free with Markku Ruhanen in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the game, Gunnar Dyrstad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Markku Ruhanen. Gunnar Dyrstad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 24th minute, Juan Pablo Fretheim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Dampsaga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Markku Ruhanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haluk Pamir, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Markku Ruhanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Dyrstad came free, but Markku Ruhanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Markku Ruhanen made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Gunnar Dyrstad sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Markku Ruhanen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when FK Dampsaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haluk Pamir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimi Lindström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Bakezda Mann made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Marius Kleven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markku Ruhanen. Liverpool FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marius Kleven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. FK Dampsaga's Bakezda Mann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kustaa Esala in the 86th minute of play.
