Jacinto Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerrit Hardering having to make a save. Gerrit Hardering made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Jacinto Torres sent off a good shot on target. When Mario Avramovski fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Patriots's protests and gave Mario Avramovski a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New England Patriots! New England Patriots:s Gerrit Hardering showed great skill when he stopped Jacinto Torres:s penalty. In the 29th minute, Kurt Slaghmeulders got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robertinho Teodorowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. João Augusto Coelho got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wilson Piazza. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Torres made a kick off. Fabian Söderström came out of the goal and Nelsinho Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Adrian Astigar replaced Simon Blomquist. Haithabu FC's Gervasio Albonico was substituted for Kurt Slaghmeulders. In the 80thth minute of the game Mauri Icardi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New England Patriots's Gerrit Hardering was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerrit Hardering showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauri Icardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauri Icardi in the 83rd minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Gerrit Hardering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind New England Patriots's goalkeeper Gerrit Hardering, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, New England Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Mauri Icardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Hardering having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
