The referee ignored Aris Salonicco FC's protests and gave Adriano Bevilacqua a yellow card for diving instead. Halkus Valkus BK's Jiří Grim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Cardano in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Halkus Valkus BK's goalkeeper Jiří Grim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jiří Grim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Verdini, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 40 minutes Halkus Valkus BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Halkus Valkus BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aris Salonicco FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Halkus Valkus BK's Ovidiu Spirea got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Verdini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Halkus Valkus BK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 58th minute, Federico Cardano made a precise shot to the right of Jiří Grim. Halkus Valkus BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 62nd minute, Federico Cardano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Aris Salonicco FC made a substitution. Giampaolo Pazzini replaced Donato Verdini. After 67 played minutes Halkus Valkus BK got a freekick which was hit by Marc Beneth. Giampaolo Pazzini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jiří Grim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Halkus Valkus BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Beneth to maneuver through the defense. Aris Salonicco FC's Adriano Michelini couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Halkus Valkus BK. Adriano Michelini received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jiří Grim came out and tried to block the shot, but Adriano Michelini slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 94th minute. Aris Salonicco FC played a much better game than Halkus Valkus BK and deserved their victory. The Halkus Valkus BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
