The supporters of Amapola booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Chaine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafail Rusev got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute of the game Ciriaco Bermudez made a throw-in which Camilo Segio played forward. 43 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Froila came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Uzuri in the 44th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Valette Stars's zone, Fidel Froila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrien Tanneau came out of the goal and Fidel Froila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillaume Chaine was the one to do the kick off. Fidel Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ubaldo Uzuri came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Amapola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Uzuri couldn't finish the play.
