A very good chance for a goal. 8 minutes into the match, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Nesor came free, but Eloy Mazuste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Mazuste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Nesor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Hermengildo Nesor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Winthont FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Winthont FC's Leif Hammarberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Baldomiro Ireno, made in the 19th minute of the game. Eloy Mazuste stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Nesor's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Winthont FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Stanislaw Hyska scored to the left of an out of position Dennis Beerthuis, making the score, 1-1. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sander Schaars hit a great ball. Christian Bergqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dennis Beerthuis made a huge save. Hermengildo Nesor took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Mazuste. Eloy Mazuste dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Nesor in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eloy Mazuste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Christian Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Beerthuis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennis Beerthuis came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Christian Bergqvist. But to his dismay, Christian Bergqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When Sinan Okergun came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Tigres Ñacuñán FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sinan Okergun couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marc van Nistelrooij was the one to do the kick off. Baldomiro Ireno made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Winthont FC's Leif Hammarberg. Yağızalp Öznur made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Alfonso Pere. Pascal Zegeling hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Winthont FC made a substitution. Sixto Gorbea replaced Hermengildo Nesor. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pascal Zegeling hit a great ball. Winthont FC's Dennis Beerthuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sinan Okergun in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Bergqvist in the 72nd minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Dennis Beerthuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Beerthuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sinan Okergun, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Tigres Ñacuñán FC booed when Winthont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Hammarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Zegeling during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
