Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 11th minute of play. Rodrigo Barra came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Xande Buffon could save by the left post. In the 20th match minute, Botinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Waldemar Nóbrega hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hílton Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Santalla in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Nicolas De la Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Cássio Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas De la Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas De la Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas De la Cruz in the 31st minute of play. Hílton Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 35th minute of the match. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 40th minute of play. New Joinville - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacob Santalla in the 41st minute. Christiano Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Nicolas De la Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas De la Cruz couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas De la Cruz in the 54th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Botinho FC's zone, Nicolas De la Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal and Nicolas De la Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute of the match, Nicolas De la Cruz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hílton Magalhães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hílton Magalhães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolas De la Cruz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 61 minute of play. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Ronaldo Viana replaced Válbson Schmidt. A collision led to Botinho FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Christiano Rezende hit a great ball. New Joinville - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Botinho FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacob Santalla took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ronaldo Viana managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 81 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lamine Xande. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Botinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lamine Xande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lamine Xande. After having played for 89 minutes, Lamine Xande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Joinville - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lamine Xande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Botinho FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Lamine Xande got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Botinho FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing New Joinville - FSCMZ to win.
