Juan Manuel Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Karl-Ove Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gnesta Oilers's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Ove Söderström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Henric breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Otto Copperfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Juan Manuel Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Leo Henric managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Gnesta Oilers's Alejo Veliz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Azulgranas AFC's Leo Henric proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Azulgranas AFC from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Gnesta Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Manuel Cruz came free, but Patrick Eliasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Gnesta Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Thidén to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Juan Manuel Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Eliasson. Gnesta Oilers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Manuel Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Leo Henric took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Eliasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 37 minutes of play, Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Eliasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Copperfield in the 43rd minute of play forced Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Patrick Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Henric made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Veliz in the 44th minute. When Otto Copperfield came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Azulgranas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Copperfield couldn't finish the play. After the first half Azulgranas AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Karl-Ove Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Leo Henric tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas AFC's Flavio Beremundo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Azulgranas AFC's zone, Karl-Ove Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Henric came out of the goal and Karl-Ove Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Henric made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Mathy in the 56th minute of play. Leo Henric showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Veliz in the 57th minute of the match. Azulgranas AFC's Leo Henric played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Söderström in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes Azulgranas AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaudencio Stanislao who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gaudencio Stanislao got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leo Henric quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leo Henric showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Mathy, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Juan Manuel Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrick Eliasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Manuel Cruz in the 64th minute of play. Gnesta Oilers's Alfred Liljeström was substituted for Claes Thidén. With his leg Patrick Eliasson managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Patrick Eliasson was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Juan Manuel Cruz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Manuel Cruz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Gnesta Oilers from getting a goal against them. When Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gnesta Oilers's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Otto Copperfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azulgranas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Copperfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Liljeström kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Azulgranas AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
